In Pokémon GO, you receive candy when catching Pokémon. Some trainers share insights about the impressive amount they have collected over time.
What are candies? In Pokémon GO, you receive species-specific candies for catching monsters. You need these to trigger evolutions, learn a second charge attack, or to make the Pokémon stronger.
If you have been playing for a while and have collected many specimens of a Pokémon, you may have accumulated quite a few candies over time.
On Reddit, trainers are now sharing screenshots of Pokémon for which they have collected the most candies. And some numbers are impressive, shocking, or shockingly impressive.
Almost 88,000 Candies
How many candies have the trainers collected? Some of the trainers post significant candy amounts they have collected in the Reddit post. A few trainers have the following amounts:
- Trainer CDR_Chicken boasts an impressive 11,097 Meltan candies
- Trainer ElliotDunlo has collected 31,392 Rattata candies
- Trainer GeordieAI has gathered 59,735 Pikachu candies
- Trainer superawesomeflyguy has 76,870 Corviknight candies in their inventory
But one trainer surpasses them all. Trainer 5n0t posted a screenshot showing 87,928 Eevee candies. If the trainer had caught all Eevee without using berries, mega, and event bonuses, more than 29,300 Eevee would have been necessary for this amount of candies.
If they had caught all Eevee using berries but without any further bonuses and thus received 6 candies per catch, the required number of Eevee would still be over 14,650 Eevee.
And even if they had received all Eevee with maximum bonuses, the number of Eevee would still be in the range of several thousand specimens.
In addition to the impressive number of Eevee candies, their screenshot also reveals 6,697 XL candies for Eevee and a whopping 53,747,971 Stardust. Those are also impressive numbers that very few trainers can boast of.
How did the trainer collect so many candies? When asked how the trainer managed to gather so many candies, they provide a simple answer:
I always use berries and trade them in for three candies.
