In Pokémon GO you can now purchase the Timed Research “Eerie Echoes”. However, trainers have a lot of criticism about it. Before your purchase, check our overview.
What kind of research is this? Recently, Part 1 of the Halloween event started. Niantic offers 3 Timed Research tasks, two of which are free. The paid research is unlocked by a ticket for a purchase price of about 6 Euros and is called “Eerie Echoes”.

Community’s Devastating Judgment
What do the players say? On Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), trainers comment on the tasks and rewards of the research that you can unlock for the price of 6 Euros.
On X, trainers have very clear words for it. The comments range from “this could have really been free” to “miserable”.
Also on Reddit, user Vmpunk19 asks: “So 5 dollars for an egg incubator, incense, and the new Pokémon?” and gets the answer “5 dollars for a pose, egg incubator, incense, and the new Pokémon. The poses normally cost 500 coins, so if you’re interested in the pose, it’s worth it. But I can’t imagine that many will be interested in it.”
In response to the comment from pokehedge97 “Wow, what a waste of money,” Stogoe states that he loves the avatar items and likes spending money on them. They are the “most valuable” things in the game because they are not limited-time consumables. “That’s 5 dollars for the pose,” he emphasizes.
