Many are currently waiting for a release of Generation 4 in Pokémon GO. A countdown indicates a soon release of the fourth generation. In the meantime, strange things are happening in the live version of Pokémon GO around a WP update and potions.
On Monday evening, trainers stared anxiously at the notifications on their smartphones. They are waiting for a release of Generation 4, as speculations point to a launch.
So far, there have been some early signs of WP changes, but that did not last long.
Generation 4 – When does it start?
Meanwhile, the important sprites and models of the 4th generation are in the code of Pokémon GO. This means that Niantic just has to flip the switch to release the monsters of the Sinnoh region.
Countdown indicates release: In the last days, Niantic introduced the first Pokémon of the Sinnoh region on Twitter. These were the starters Piplup, Chimchar, and Turtwig.
The special thing about the introduction was that Niantic presented the monsters in the PokéDex order from place 3 to place 1. Trainers clearly saw a countdown for “3, 2, 1 – Release!” This theory quickly gained popularity and spread throughout the community.
Why all trainers are waiting now: After this countdown, the release of the 4th generation was supposed to happen today, on Monday, October 15th. As usual, at the event start time of 10 PM, trainers were anxiously awaiting the announcement for the 4th generation. However, this has not yet been made (as of 10:50 PM).
When will the release come? Everyone is now eagerly waiting for the announcement from Niantic. When the 4th generation will be released is still unclear. Niantic has not yet announced a date for it. But you will hear from us as soon as there is something new.
So keep an eye on our Facebook page for Pokémon GO to be quickly informed about the 4th generation.
Short update on WP – Trainers wasted potions
At around 9 PM on Monday evening, there were initial signs of a major update. Niantic changed the battle points of the Pokémon. The WP update in Pokémon GO caused confusion. The developers already announced this re-balancing.
What was changed? Many WP of the Pokémon from Pokémon GO were adjusted. This caused some monsters to appear stronger while others appeared weaker.
This was the problem with the change: At the same time, many Pokémon lost hit points. Trainers were astonished as they flipped through their collection and saw that almost every Pokémon looked “injured” because hit points were missing.
Some used potions: Many trainers quickly turned to their potions to refill the HP of their favorites. However, these potions were likely wasted, as Niantic soon reverted the WP update and at the same time refilled the hit points of the Pokémon.
