Sold out within minutes: But not all trainers were so lucky. As some players report on Twitter, the device sold out within minutes. Others are surprised that the GO Plus + was even available for purchase. There, the following comments can be found (via twitter.com):

They have 4 months to produce more before it even goes on sale!”
Now it’s time for everyone who wants the gadget and went empty-handed yesterday, to wait and hope that there will be a restock soon.

What can the Pokémon GO Plus+ do that makes it so coveted?
All functions of the new catching gadget: The Pokémon GO Plus + is the successor to the GO Plus, which has existed for many years and with which trainers can catch Pokémon on the go at the push of a button. What makes it special for trainers? Unlike the GO Plus, trainers can now switch between the balls with the Pokémon GO Plus +. Previously, only regular Poké Balls were thrown when catching automatically, making it correspondingly harder for the monster to stay in the ball. With a Hyper Ball, your chances of that happening in the future should be significantly better.
Additionally, with the GO Plus, you always had to press a button to execute the respective action. This is now supposed to change with the GO Plus +. It should automatically spin at stops and try to catch monsters.
But the special research with the costumed Snorlax also offers an additional purchase argument for some, as the monster is expected to only be obtainable through this research in the game and thus correspondingly rare. This is likely to interest collectors.
Whether Snorlax with sleep cap will also be available as a Shiny is currently unknown, but since the normal Snorlax does exist in its shiny form, that would be conceivable. That would make the find even more unique.
