Pokémon GO: Trainers are desperately searching for one of the rarest Pokémon in the current event – Have you already got it?

Currently, you can obtain one of the rarest Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Despite the low chances, we want to know if you’ve already received it.

What kind of event is this? Currently, the event Smoldering Steps is taking place in Pokémon GO. The event started on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM and will run until Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 8:00 PM.

The focus of the event is on hatching eggs. In addition to a reduced distance needed to hatch the eggs, there is also an increased chance of encountering shiny Snorunt and Leafeon, as well as one of the rarest Pokémon, which is available as shiny for the first time in the game.

Which Pokémon is it? Ignivor, the Pokémon from the 5th generation with the types Bug and Fire, can be found in eggs in its shiny variant for the first time during this event.

It can evolve into Ramoth, which is both a strong Fire and a strong Bug attacker, and appears in the list of the strongest attackers in Pokémon GO.

However, since Ignivor is in the rarest category of Pokémon that can be hatched from eggs, it is correspondingly rare. If you want to obtain it, you need a lot of luck or a large number of eggs to hatch during the current event.

What does the community say about it? On Reddit, some trainers report their attempts to get Ignivor during the current event. Even though some have succeeded, there are many trainers who have unfortunately been very unsuccessful so far.

Additionally, there are comments that consider hatching eggs in Pokémon GO to be a form of gambling and therefore do not focus much on it.

So it really is a matter of luck whether you’ll get an Ignivor. If you want to get it before the event ends, keep hatching the 2-km, 5-km, and 10-km eggs. Maybe you will even get a shiny one.
