What kind of event is it? Currently, in Pokémon GO, the Lunar New Year event is taking place. This ends on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 8:00 PM. Part of this event is a global challenge where players had to complete a total of 1,000,000,000 Great Throws together.
This global challenge has now been successfully completed. As a reward for the successful completion, 4 bonuses have been unlocked in the game. These will remain active worldwide until the end of the event.

What bonuses are there? In addition to a fireworks display lighting up the sky, new wild Pokémon as well as a 1-star Raid, a 3-star Raid, and some exclusive charged attacks have been unlocked. To obtain the charged attacks, you need to evolve the corresponding Pokémon during the event.

Which exclusive charged attacks have been unlocked? These Pokémon can learn exclusive charged attacks if you evolve them by the end of the event:
- Libelldra, the final evolution of Knacklion, can learn Earth Powers
- Knakrack, the final evolution of Kaumalat, can learn Earth Powers
- Altaria, the evolution of Wablu, can learn Moonblast
- Brutalanda, the final evolution of Kindwurm, can learn Outrage
- UHaFnir, the evolution of eF-eM, can learn Boomburst
