In Pokémon GO, many players are currently reporting issues finding the night spawns. Now, a trainer provides an important tip on how to still catch the corresponding monsters. We at MeinMMO show you what you can do.
Which spawns are we talking about? Currently, the Tag and Nacht event is taking place in Pokémon GO, during which you can encounter both day- and night-active monsters. They are supposed to alternate depending on the time of day. However, the night Pokémon are currently causing headaches for many players. A trainer has now explained how he was able to find the monsters. We have summarized it for you below.
Trainer finds night spawns after sunrise
What is the problem with the night spawns? While day spawns, such as Sonnfel or Ledyba, can be easily caught during the day in Pokémon GO, the night spawns pose difficulties for trainers. They literally appear in the middle of the night, requiring trainers to stay up late.
Especially due to the current collector challenge, for which some of the night spawns need to be caught, there is criticism from the community. In contrast to the special research Sternenhimmel
, which is also active during the event and has no time limit, the collector challenge must be completed before the event ends to secure the rewards.
A trainer gives an important tip: If you don’t want to spend your nights chasing the night Pokémon, you can also easily catch them at another time, as Reddit user Froggo14 reveals in his post. He explains that he was able to find them early in the morning.
He writes (via reddit.com): For anyone still needing the night spawns, you should consider taking a walk early in the morning. I am in Portugal, where sunrise is at 06:15. I went for a walk around 08:15 and got a mix of night and day spawns. I managed to catch Toxiped and Paragoni, which were the last two I needed.
What does this mean for trainers in Germany? In recent days, players on social media have noted that the night spawns can still be found about 2 hours after sunrise. Some even had a longer chance to catch them.
Depending on where you live in Germany, the sun currently rises between 04:30 and 05:30. After that, you have approximately 2 more hours to search for them.
What do other trainers say about this tip?
Trainers confirm the tip: Other trainers can also confirm this tip. They have been out in the early morning hours themselves and were able to find the night Pokémon they still needed for the collector challenge Wie Tag und Nacht
. You can read the following in the comments (via reddit.com):
- Xavourss:
I did this this morning in France on my way to work from 7:45 to 8:30. I played in the metro, on the way from the station to work, and a bit at my desk, collecting everything I needed for the collector challenge. I also caught a few Myrapla with a moss lure module (to evolve an Evoli) during full daylight.
- bowserm:
I noticed this morning that I had night spawns on my way to work. Until about 8:20 this morning.
- fdxrobot:
The sun rises here at 5:15. I take my morning walk from 5:30 to 7:00 & I caught all the night spawns without any problems.
Criticism of the situation: However, not all trainers are happy with this suggestion. Their sunrise is very early, so they would have to get up significantly earlier to catch the night spawns.
Moreover, they criticize the approach and the lack of communication from Niantic. When the spawns can be found was not officially communicated. They are expressing their frustration on social media (via reddit.com):
- MattGeddon:
Yes, sunrise here is currently at 4 am, so I have to get up very early if I want to catch any. Luckily, I managed to get all of them for the collector challenge because I stayed up until 1 am last night, but it’s hard to believe how poorly thought out this operation is.
- jontslayer:
It’s pathetic how far we have to go to access part of the game. Worse still, there has been NO COMMUNICATION FROM NIANTIC.
- Efreet0:
I find it crazy that people put up with this, but when you point it out, they get angry because you’re ‘telling them what to do with their time’ or something like that…
For those who are out early in the morning because of work or school, they can definitely try Froggo14’s tip. Maybe you’ll discover the missing monsters as well.
Have you completed your collector challenge yet? Or do you still need night spawns? Will you try Froggo14’s tip and go Pokémon hunting in the early morning hours in the coming days? Let us know here in the comments on MeinMMO and share with other trainers.
