In Pokémon GO, we encounter representatives of Team Rocket more often. A trainer on Reddit is now wondering if we are actually the bad ones.
Who is Team Rocket? In the Pokémon world, Team Rocket is a criminal organization that frequently opposes the protagonist. Their goal is to take over the world, primarily by stealing Pokémon from trainers.
The Team Rocket is also present in Pokémon GO. In addition to the Rocket Grunts and Rocket Bosses, whom you can find and challenge, there are also events at irregular intervals where the Rocket Boss, Giovanni, makes an appearance.
A trainer has now raised the question of whether we have actually become Team Rocket ourselves. He has found quite a concrete reason for this.

What does the trainer say? The trainer asks on Reddit if we are not the bad ones ourselves, as our approach is similar to that of Team Rocket. He writes:
Has anyone else noticed that in Pokémon GO, we do the same thing to Team Rocket that they do to the heroes in the anime? We defeat them in a Pokémon battle and then steal one of their Pokémon. Have we inadvertently become Team Rocket for Team Rocket?
What does the community say about it? While some commentators from the community agree with the trainer and find additional reasons why we secretly are the bad guys, there are also some voices that suspect that we are not so bad after all.

So there are both reasons that suggest we are the bad ones and those that oppose it. The question of what exactly we are now has to be answered by each person for themselves.
