An Australian player of Pokémon GO has reached an insane milestone and now has 1000 Lucky Pokémon. We tell you how he accomplished this.

The player “SrTayeNeo” from Australia has now achieved something enormous. He traded over 19,000 Pokémon and now owns 1000 Lucky Pokémon. Such a milestone has likely been reached by very few other players.
SrTayeNeo answered a few questions for us on Facebook and tells us from MeinMMO how he accomplished this feat.

What do his statistics say? The player’s trading statistics are enormous. He traded a total of 19,025 Pokémon over a distance of over 24 million kilometers. In total, he now has 1000 Lucky Pokémon. That means approximately every 19th trade was one of the Lucky Pokémon.
What was his motivation behind it? SrTayeNeo wanted to set a record of his own. In terms of experience points or Stardust he was behind player greats like Brandon Tan.
When the trading system came out in Pokémon GO, he knew that everyone would start from zero. His chance to set his own record was therefore great.
What makes trading special for him? For the Australian player, the trading function is a good way to meet friends and also to make new friendships. Moreover, he loves to obtain Pokémon with good IV through trading.
The Lucky Pokémon help in obtaining Pokémon with good IV. Lucky Pokémon have at least 80% IV.
What is his favorite Pokémon from trading? For SrTayeNeo, his first 100% IV Lucky Pokémon is his favorite. The Gastly, which he received from his son, was his 492nd Lucky Pokémon. In addition to this 100% IV monster, he has also obtained 22 other Pokémon with 100% IV through trading.
This is how much he traded per day: The 19,000 trades do not come from nowhere. He traded 100 Pokémon per day. This is the upper limit for trades per day. In the first few days, he even traded more, as there was no limit at that time.
With whom did he trade the most? The majority of his trades were conducted with the same player. This player also has over 1000 Lucky Pokémon. Another part he traded with his son, but also numerous players he met during his travels were his trading partners.
