The trainer DarthPika-3 has found a way to collect 400,000 XP in 30 minutes and reports this to the community on reddit (via reddit.com). We looked into how he succeeded and explain it to you.
How a trainer managed to collect 400,000 XP in 30 minutes
Due to the removal of some Corona bonuses, Niantic has started a testing phase for new exploration bonuses in the USA and New Zealand. One of these bonuses gives trainers 10 times the XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time.
DarthPika-3 took advantage of this bonus. He traveled to an area where he had never played before but had many PokéStops. This made all the stops new for him, and he had never spun them before. However, he did not just wander around and spin at these PokéStops; he also used a lucky egg.
With this, he earned double the XP for a duration of 30 minutes. As he writes on reddit, he earns 4,200 XP for each first-time spin through the bonus and the lucky egg (via reddit.com). According to his own statements, he was able to earn 400,000 XP in this way with a lucky egg.
What the community says about this tip
Some trainers on reddit are excited about this tip and want to try it themselves. Some players, like Mareykan, are already calculating in the comments how many XP they need for the next level and how many new stops they would need to spin with this trick (via reddit.com).
However, there is also criticism from players who have been around in Pokémon GO for a while. Spirit_Bloom writes: “Most long-term players do not have access to enough ‘new’ PokéStops to make this worthwhile” (via reddit.com).

Can you use this trick too?
Currently, the exploration bonuses are only being tested in New Zealand and the USA. This means that the 10 times XP for spinning a new stop is only available there. If the testing phase is successful there and convinces Niantic, then these bonuses will likely be introduced in Germany.
