In Pokémon GO, players have been collecting cells for the Pokémon Zygarde for months, but it’s proving difficult. One trainer has finally gathered enough for the monster’s final form.
What kind of Pokémon is this? The Pokémon Zygarde was introduced in July 2023 with the special research “From A to Zygarde” and is closely tied to the route feature.
Because: On the routes, you can find so-called Zygarde cells. You need these to transform Zygarde into its stronger forms.
The problem: These cells are very rare and do not always appear on routes. Additionally, some trainers have the issue of simply having too few routes nearby to consistently collect the cells.
Moreover, a lot of cells are needed for the forms. The 50% form requires 50 cells, while the strong optimum form requires a whole 200 cells.
For many trainers, the hunt for the optimum form has turned into a kind of endless story. However, one trainer has now succeeded.
Trainer shares his strong Zygarde
In the Pokémon GO subreddit called “TheSilphRoad,” user “TorchicIsland” shared a post featuring a Zygarde in its optimum form.
For the post “The impossible has been achieved, the first 100% Zygarde,” there are currently over 1,900 upvotes and more than 300 comments:
Whether it is really the first in the world is unclear, but in the comments, trainers still express their admiration, but also discuss the difficult form transformation itself:

Because through the research you only get one Zygarde; otherwise, no further one is available – and there you can be unlucky with the values.- Other users discuss how many cells they have. While the trainer collected a total of 250 cells for Zygarde, some say they have rather 10, 8, or 2 so far.
Other users are rather shocked by how much dust the trainer has collected – which is in the nine-digit range.
How does one get more Zygarde cells? Currently, it remains the case that you can only get the cells via routes. Especially in the early days, trainers also had problems with routes ending before they could collect the cells when they did appear.
But soon after, a trick went around to not miss any cells.
