What is the “Pokémon GO Tour: Johto”? The Pokémon GO Tour: Johto is a special one-day event that takes place in February. It lasts a full 12 hours and is the grand finale of the current season, the Season of Origins.
As the event name suggests, it revolves around the Johto region and the Pokémon associated with it. Last year, a similar event took place focusing on the Kanto region, where all the missing shiny Pokémon from Kanto made their debut in the game.
During the Johto Tour, you can also look forward to many new shinies. Additionally, there will be special spawns and bonuses. Below, we have summarized all the information about the Johto event for you (via pokemongolive.com).
When is the Johto Tour taking place? The Pokémon GO Tour: Johto starts on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 09:00 local time. You will have 12 hours to use all the benefits until it ends at 21:00 local time.
Pokémon GO Tour Johto 2022: Ticket and Prices
Who can participate in the event? In principle, any trainer from all over the world can participate in the Pokémon GO Tour Johto. However, not all event content is available for free. Those who want to take full advantage of the day can purchase a ticket, which unlocks additional features.
Where can you get the ticket? The ticket for the Johto Tour has been available in the in-game shop since December. To buy it, simply open the shop in the game and look for the category “Global Events” below the boxes. The corresponding ticket for the Johto Tour is listed there, and you just need to complete your purchase.
How much does the event ticket for the Johto Tour cost? The ticket for the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto costs a one-time fee of nearly 12 euros in the in-game shop.
What content can you expect with the ticket purchase? The event ticket for the Johto Tour grants you special spawns on that day. There is a distinction between the silver and gold editions, which you can choose just before the event starts. Additionally, you can expect numerous bonuses and an exclusive special research.
If you purchase your ticket by February 10, 2022, you will also receive a free limited-time research for the month of February, which will also provide numerous items, Pokémon encounters, stardust, and experience points.

You can of course participate in the entire Johto Tour without purchasing a ticket. So regardless of whether you have a ticket or not, you can look forward to the following special features during the entire event:

- no distance requirement for evolving Espeon and Umbreon until 23:00 local time

Pokémon in the Wild and from Eggs for the Johto Tour 2022
For all trainers, the content of the eggs and the wild spawns will be adjusted during the Johto Tour. You can look forward to Pokémon in the wild and in 7-km eggs that were discovered first in the Johto region. Which monsters you can expect from the 7-km eggs is not yet known. The following Pokémon can be caught in the wild during the event:

- Quaputzi

- Chaneira
- Seemon

In the 2-km eggs, you will find the following Pokémon:

The Raid Bosses for the Johto Tour 2022
In addition to the wild spawns and the contents of the 2- and 7-km eggs, the raid bosses will also be adjusted during the Johto event. You can look forward to the following Pokémon on February 26, 2022, between 09:00 and 21:30 local time:

The Gold and Silver Editions
Those who secure a ticket for the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto can look forward to further spawns. You will need to decide between the gold and silver edition before the event starts. Both include different exclusive spawns that you can attract by using incense.
Gold Edition: In the gold edition, you can find Webarak, Skorgla, Teddiursa, and Mantax. Additionally, you have a higher shiny chance with Webarak, Fluffeluff, Natu, Sonnkern, Traunfugil, Woingenau, Skorgla, Pottrott, Teddiursa, Quiekel, Mantax, and Ho-Oh.
Silver Edition: The silver edition brings you exclusive Pokémon Ledyba, Botogel, Panzaeron, and Phanpy through the incense. Your shiny chances are also increased with Ledyba, Pii, Mogelbaum, Yanma, Tannza, Botogel, Panzaeron, Hunduster, Phanpy, Miltank, Larvitar, and Lugia.
Both Editions: In both editions, you can also more frequently encounter shiny versions of Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Budew.
Furthermore, additional monsters from the Johto region will spawn in the wild and can be found in raids and eggs. All Pokémon from the Johto Tour are also available in their shiny forms, including Unown G, O, T, U, R, J.
