In Pokémon GO tomorrow, on January 19, the big Hoenn event about Generation 3 starts. We will show you Shinys, bonuses, and more information.
When does the event take place? It begins on January 19 at 10:00 AM local time. The event runs until January 24 at 8:00 PM local time. You have less than a week to fully take advantage of the event.
The event is all about Generation 3. It is the next countdown event until the Kanto Tour, which is supposed to start at the end of February.
All information about the Hoenn event
These are the bonuses: As with previous events, this time it focuses only on one generation. This time, the Hoenn region is in focus:
- In the wild, Geckarbor, Flemmli, Hydropi, Schwalbini, Krakeelo, Nasgnet, Stollunior, Meditie, Roselia, Kanivanha, Camaub, Puppance, and other monsters will appear
- From 5 km eggs, in quests, and in raids, monsters from the Hoenn region are available
- There is a new collector challenge
- Metagross learns the exclusive move Meteor Mash through evolution
- Groudon and Kyogre appear in Level 5 raids
- There is a limited research that provides 10 candies like Kyogre and Groudon
- At the end of the limited research, there is an encounter with Rayquaza
- There will be 3 free remote raid passes in the shop
What about new Shinys? No new Shiny has been announced so far. Unlike previous generation events, you will have to enjoy Shinys that have been around for a while.
However, you will again encounter some Pokémon that are available in their shiny forms. These include the 3 starters, Schwalbini, Stollunior, Meditie, Roselia, Kanivanha, and Puppance.
This bonus is really strong: The exclusive attack for Metagross will be very useful. Meteor Mash was previously only available on Community Day and greatly enhances Metagross. Meteor Mash is one of the best moves in the game and makes Metagross a good all-rounder. With Meteor Mash, it is at least somewhat useful against almost every Pokémon.
You should definitely grab the move. This works by evolving Metang into Metagross. Normal TMs do not work for this.
What’s next? On January 26, the next event in Pokémon GO will start. This will focus on the Johto region, that is, Generation 2. There is no further information on this yet.
About a month later, the Kanto Tour will start, for which you will need a ticket. We will show you if the purchase is worth it: Pokémon GO is asking for 12 Euros for the Kanto Tour – Is the ticket purchase worth it?
