Now it’s official: You can evolve Togepi into Pokémon GO into Togetic. There are also likely more updates this month.
A few days ago, developer Niantic released some baby Pokémon from the 2nd generation in Pokémon GO. These Pokémon hatch from various eggs and cannot be caught in the wild. Here’s how to catch the baby Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Now a trainer has shown a screenshot that he was particularly diligent with his Togepi. The two have earned enough Togepi candies to evolve the Pokémon.
Pokémon GO: Evolving Togepi into Togetic
Can you even evolve a Togepi? Many trainers wondered this after the baby monsters were announced in the game. @KellyffSweden on Twitter has now been able to prove with a screenshot that there is an evolution of Togepi in the game.
You need 50 Togepi candies to evolve the little Togepi into a Togetic. Soon you will see Togetic more often in gyms when more trainers have collected this number of candies.
Togetic is a Flying/Fairy Pokémon with typical abilities of these Pokémon types.
More events in December for Pokémon GO?
Some players were disappointed by this announcement from Niantic. They believe that this is the only event that the developers have planned for Christmas. However, Niantic’s blog gives hope that there could be at least one more event this month.
In the last sentence of the blog entry from December 14, they write that December is not even halfway through, but has already been particularly exciting. “Stay tuned for what’s to come.”
This makes it clear that Niantic has more cool content planned for this December. A Christmas event with increased experience points and candies is likely to be well received by trainers. This has already been shown by feedback from the Halloween event.
