When does the Spotlight Hour take place? The Spotlight Hour is today, on April 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM – as always! It lasts until 7:00 PM, providing you with the Pokémon of the day: Bubungus for a good 60 minutes.
What kind of Pokémon is Bubungus? Bubungus is of the Grass and Fairy type. It originally comes from the games Sun & Moon. Bubungus also has an evolution: Lamellux.
You could honestly ignore both if you’re looking for strong fighters, as they are not particularly dangerous. Nevertheless, you should take advantage of the Spotlight Hour today and catch many Bubungus. Because: There is a lot of Stardust to collect. And you always need that.
How to make the most of the Spotlight Hour today for lots of Stardust
That’s why there’s so much dust: Bubungus is among the Pokémon that already give you more Stardust by default. Each Bubungus catch equals 500 Stardust for your Stardust account.
But today, it’s going to be doubled again because during the Spotlight Hour, you get double the amount of Stardust for each catch. In the case of Bubungus, that means 1,000 Stardust.
If you want to get even more out of it, you should use a Star Piece during this time if you have one in your item bag. This increases the amount of Stardust per catch by 1.5 for half an hour.
In short: During the Spotlight Hour today, you could casually collect 1,500 Stardust per catch. It’s worth it.
What do I need Stardust for? Stardust is one of the most important resources in the game. You can use it to level up your Pokémon – in conjunction with Candy. You also need it to teach them another move. This is particularly important, if you enjoy playing in PvP. And the additional moves are usually quite expensive.
You usually need Stardust to activate Adventure effects as well. In short: You can never have enough of it.
