In Pokémon GO the Dragon Spiral Descent event starts today, on December 7, 2021. We at MeinMMO have looked at which monsters and bonuses await you and show you which Shinies you can look forward to.
What kind of event is this? Those who know the white or black edition of Pokémon are probably familiar with the Dragon Spiral. It is a tower in the Unova region, home to the legendary monsters Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem.
But other monsters, like Shardrago, also call it home. In line with this Dragon Spiral, there will now be a similarly named event in Pokémon GO. The focus will be on one or another Dragon-type Pokémon, but you should also keep an eye out for other types (via pokemongolive.com).
When does the Dragon event take place? The Dragon Spiral Descent starts on December 7, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time. You will have until December 12, 2021, at 8:00 PM to take advantage of all the specifics of the event.
Dragon Event – All Spawns and Shinies
During the Dragon Spiral Descent event, you will encounter numerous monsters and Shinies again. The focus will primarily be on Fire, Electric, Ice, and Dragon-type Pokémon. Additionally, a new monster will make its debut in Pokémon GO. We will show you what spawns to expect.
The new Pokémon: Shardrago
For the first time, you will encounter the Dragon Pokémon Shardrago in Pokémon GO. The monster comes from the 5th generation and is said to be at home in the Dragon Spiral. It has no pre-evolution or evolution.
You can recognize Shardrago by its cream-colored belly, blue body, and red head. Its shiny variant will also be catchable in the game. You can recognize it by its green body and yellow head. You can get Shardrago in level-3 raids and by completing special event quests.

All Spawns and Shinies for the Dragon Spiral Descent
In addition to Shardrago, you will certainly encounter more monsters. Niantic has adjusted the wild spawns and raids accordingly. Below we have summarized all Pokémon that you may encounter during the event. All that are also available in shiny form are marked with an (*).

- Voltilamm*
- Sniebel*

With some luck, you will also encounter the following wild monsters:

Dragon Spiral Descent Event – All Bonuses
In addition to numerous monsters, you can also look forward to one or another bonus during the Dragon Spiral Descent. The following bonuses await you:
