Just like the regular Community Day, the C-Day Classic also lasts for 3 full event hours. However, you can secure the event attack only until 7:00 PM local time.

Will there be group bonuses and 4-player raids? No, there will be no group bonuses or special event raids for the Community Day Classic featuring Dratini, unlike the regular Community Days.
How to make the most of the Community Day Classic featuring Dratini
How to prepare: If you want to play all day and catch a lot of Dratini, you should definitely make some space in your Pokémon storage. So sort out a fair amount now. The best way to do this is by using the filter function in the game. By entering “0*,1*,2*”, you will only see Pokémon that have a rating of 2 stars or less.
During the event, you can also add the entry “Older0” to this filter to only see Pokémon that are no older than 24 hours.
Additionally, you should also have some items ready. So make some space in your item bag and stock up on the essential items.

Balls: The most important item for the Community Day Classic are, of course, balls, because without them you can’t catch the Pokémon. If you play the full 3 hours, you should have at least 200 balls as a supply, so you don’t have to order more immediately.

Incense & Lures: To attract a lot of Dratini, it is advisable to use incense and lures. Since both will be active for 3 hours again, one of each will be enough. If you want to equip more than one PokéStop with lures, you’ll need more accordingly.
Star Pieces: Since you will receive a Stardust bonus during the Community Day Classic, it is worth having a few Star Pieces on hand. With these, you receive 50% more Stardust for 30 minutes. You need this if you want to level up Pokémon or trade monsters with a friend.
Sananaberries: If you want to take advantage of the event to collect a lot of candies, you should definitely have a stock of Sananaberries. With these, you get double candies when catching. This is especially worthwhile if you want to bring your Pokémon to level 50.
Activate the right Mega Evolution
Why is a Mega Evolution worth it? If the right Mega Evolution is active during the Community Day, you can earn an additional candy for each Dratini you catch.
Which evolution is the right one? Since Dratini is a dragon Pokémon, you need a Mega Evolution of the dragon type. Use one of the following Pokémon:
- Mega Charizard X
- Mega Ampharos
- Mega Altaria
- Mega Latios
- Mega Latias
Is the Community Day Classic featuring Dratini worth it?
Are there shiny Dratini? Yes, Dratini can also be obtained in its shiny form in the game. During the Community Days, the chances of finding a shiny are generally increased, so you have a good chance of encountering a corresponding specimen on Saturday. You can recognize it by its pink body.
How strong is Dratini? The dragon Pokémon from the first generation of games does not have particularly high stats and is therefore uninteresting for use in raids and the GO Battle League. However, it can be evolved into Dragonair and then into Dragonite.
In contrast to Dratini, Dragonite boasts high attack and stamina stats, and its defense is solid as well. With a moveset consisting of Dragon Tail and Dragon Claw, it may not surpass the top dragon Pokémon Rayquaza and Dialga, but it is still among the best dragon attackers in the game.
And even in the GO Battle League, Dragonite is right up there with a moveset of Fire Spin, Dragon Claw, and Superpower, securing 2nd place in the PvPoke rankings.

Who should take advantage of the C-Day Classic? The Community Day Classic is particularly worthwhile for players who are still looking for a strong candidate for raids or PvP battles. Especially in the Master League, Dragonite is well-suited for use, but it can also hold its own in raids.
