On June 16, 2022, a crossover event for the trading card game starts in Pokémon GO. You can look forward to plenty of spawns and bonuses. We at MeinMMO will show you what new Pokémon, spawns, shinies, and bonuses will be available.
What kind of event is this? The Pokémon trading card game and Pokémon GO are celebrating their cooperation. From July 1st, there will be a special Pokémon GO edition as an expansion for the trading cards. Of course, a corresponding crossover event in the mobile game should not be missed.
So you can expect numerous spawns and shinies, as well as one or two bonuses. Additionally, Reißlaus, Tectass, and Pikachu with a Pokémon trading card game cap will make their debut. You can also look forward to the return of Shiny-Meltan.
When does the crossover event start? The trading card event starts on June 16, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time and runs until June 30, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time.
All Spawns and Shinies for the Crossover Event
During the crossover event for the trading card game, there will again be plenty of Pokémon to catch. You can encounter them in the wild or battle against them in raids. The two Alola Pokémon, Reißlaus and Tectass, will celebrate their debut in the game.
There will also be a new costumed Pokémon: Pikachu with a special cap for the Pokémon trading card game. This blue event cap will also appear on the corresponding trading card (via pokemon.com).

Wild Spawns for the Trading Card Event
In the wild, you can encounter altered spawns throughout the event. You will primarily come across monsters from the first game generation. However, other Pokémon like Reißlaus will also be found here.
Additionally, you can look forward to Lunastein and Sonnfel, which will be available at the event, regardless of the hemisphere, all over the world. The following wild spawns can be found:

And even in the raids, you can encounter new raid bosses during the crossover event around the trading cards:

Attention: The legendary Pokémon Mewtu will also have a change in its charge move during the event, which it will have after catching. You will receive it until June 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time with the move Shadow Ball, after which it will have Psycho Cut.
Reißlaus and Tectass – The new Pokémon for the Crossover Event
With the start of the crossover event, you can encounter Reißlaus and its evolution Tectass in Pokémon GO for the first time. Both are from the 7th game generation and belong to the Bug and Water types.
You can recognize the small Alola Pokémon by its silver-gray body and long antennae. Visually, it resembles a kind of silverfish. Its evolution, however, is significantly larger and stands on two legs. Tectass again has the typical silver-gray scaly body.
During the event, you can encounter Reißlaus in the wild, in raids, and through rewards. Tectass can only be obtained by evolving Reißlaus. For that, you need 400 candies. Reißlaus will not be available as a shiny in the game for the time being.
All Bonuses for the Crossover Event
In addition to the many spawns and shinies, you can also look forward to one or two bonuses during the trading card event. Especially activating the mystery box is worthwhile during the event, which is why you should wait until Thursday to open it.

- Reward: Encounter with Bisaknosp, Glutexo, Schillok, Pikachu with event cap*, Reißlaus, Bisaflor*, Glurak*, Turtok*, Relaxo*, Dragoran, Letarking
- 6 collector challenges with varying difficulty from June 16 at 10:00 AM to June 30 at 8:00 PM local time
- Reward: XP, lure modules, incubator, encounters with Bisaflor, Glurak, Turtok, and Meltan
- 3 more collector challenges from June 23 at 10:00 AM to June 30 at 8:00 PM local time
- Reward: Encounter with Bisaflor, Glurak, and Turtok
- Change of hemispheres for Lunastein and Sonnfel after the event
- New locations: Lunastein = western hemisphere, Sonnfel = eastern hemisphere
- Ditto can now be caught behind 3 new monsters
- Special features regarding the mystery box
- Meltan can spawn as a shiny from it with some luck
- Mystery box has a shorter cooldown
