In Pokémon GO the spotlight hour with Swablu begins this evening, July 7th. There is an important bonus for the event that you should take advantage of before the GO Fest.
What is a spotlight hour? This event takes place every Tuesday in Pokémon GO and highlights a special Pokémon for one hour. A bonus is also provided to round it out.
This time it’s all about Swablu, which is appearing more frequently due to the current event.
Spotlight hour in June with Swablu
When is the event? It starts this evening at 6:00 PM local time. You can play the spotlight hour for one hour.
What bonuses are there? Of course, Swablu will appear everywhere in the wild and the spawns are increased.
As an additional bonus, you get double candy for sending Pokémon. So you can earn 2 candies for each Pokémon sent.
Are there shiny Swablu? Yes, the Pokémon can already be found in a shiny form. The chance of this is about 1 in 450. So, statistically speaking, you should go out and hunt actively to be successful.
Is the bonus worth it? The bonus related to double candies for sending is really strong. In just a few weeks, the GO Fest will start, and you can use the time to really clean up your Pokémon box.
For example, send off your legendary Pokémon that you no longer need. With the candies, you can then power up your Pokémon.
