With this method, you can increase your catch success in Pokémon GO!
An exciting feature of Pokémon GO is the “Augmented Reality” function, which allows you to see the monsters through your smartphone in your immediate surroundings. However, AR can negatively affect your catch rate.
Higher Catch Rate in Pokémon GO
While it is always entertaining when the various Pokémon appear on objects or people in your surroundings, catching the pocket monsters is significantly easier when you press the button at the top right to turn off the AR function. The wild Pokémon usually stays centered on the screen (Hello, Zubat) even when you move your phone.
Additionally, you can better recognize the Pokémon on the screen against the generated background. This makes targeting easier, as there are occasionally dark or poorly identifiable spots in the AR background that unnecessarily complicate catching. Since the Pokémon is always in the middle of the screen, throwing the balls becomes more relaxed because you don’t have to set a new target each time.
For even higher catch chances, you should try to throw the balls with your index finger rather than your thumb. This way, the balls usually have a straight trajectory and curve less.
