How long does the Kanto Cup last? This cup is available until November 23 and requires Pokémon from the Kanto region, which is Generation 1. The monsters should have a maximum of 1500 CP.

This is how the tier list is structured: In the tier list, we show you the best Pokémon in a ranking. In the S-tier, you will find the best Pokémon, which many players are likely to use.
This goes down to the C-tier, where still strong Pokémon are shown, but they don’t win as many rounds anymore.
They then mainly benefit from the element of surprise and can be effectively used against individual Pokémon.
The rankings in this list were made based on Gamepress.gg, which deals heavily with the analytical factors of Pokémon GO. However, the author’s own experiences also play a role here.

You need to ensure that your Pokémon have different weaknesses and can effectively hit as many types as possible. If you manage that, you can potentially outplay almost any opponent’s team and secure the victory.

The Best Teams for the Kanto Cup
This is what you need to consider here: We suggest 2 teams here that work well together. However, that does not mean that you can beat every opponent with them. It always depends on the opposing Pokémon. You must know exactly how to counter and defeat the opponent. Only then is victory actually possible.
Team 1:
- Alolan Muk with Lick, Mud Bomb, and Dark Pulse
- Alolan Marowak with Ember, Shadow Bone, and Bone Club
- Jigglypuff with Charm, Ice Beam, and Play Rough
You will likely encounter this or a similar combination most frequently in the Kanto Cup. The good thing here is that they can counter each other effectively in many scenarios. An Alolan Muk is good against Alolan Marowak, Alolan Marowak is good against Jigglypuff, and Jigglypuff is strong against many other popular Pokémon.
You can also counter Hypno with this team, which is also very popular. Additionally, you can survive many battles for a long time and have 3 Pokémon that have completely different moves.
Team 2:
- Hypno with Confusion, Thunder Shock, and Shadow Ball
- Snorlax with Lick, Body Slam, and Heavy Slam
- Alolan Marowak with Ember, Shadow Bone, and Bone Club
With Hypno, you can deal significant damage to any opponent and also survive long in the battle. Snorlax is only vulnerable to fighting-type moves and has Body Slam as a fast charge move that can draw out shields. Alolan Marowak completes it and can win duels against Hypno.
