In Pokémon GO there is a new feature for GO Plus. This small change is not bad, but some players are likely to be more upset now.
What is the change? With GO Plus, you can now see when a Shiny has fled. This was not possible before. This change is quite interesting, but it is likely to annoy many players when they see that a rare Shiny has escaped.
This change is now likely to apply to all other gadgets of this kind. So far, there is only confirmation from the GO Plus.
Change to GO Plus – How is it received?
How was it before the change? Previously, you could see in the journal which Pokémon fled and how much CP it had, but you could not see if it was Shiny.
Now you can also recognize whether it is the Shiny form, as the player “DaRk_ViVi” from Italy proves on Reddit. He lost a Shiny Anorith.
What do the players say about it? The trainers under this proof photo are divided about the change. Some players say they will put their GO Plus away forever. They can’t handle seeing that a Shiny has fled.
Other players say that one should simply follow an iron rule: Never look in the journal. It could also be that Pokémon like Cocnodon or Snorlax have fled due to the GO Plus. This would be similarly frustrating.
How can one work around the problem? On Reddit, players give tips on how to solve this problem. Many say that you should continue to use the GO Plus while driving. You can’t catch anything without GO Plus anyway, so it wouldn’t be bad if a Shiny fled there.
If you are traveling on foot, you should simply click on all possible Shinys beforehand. Then you can calmly catch the Pokémon with the GO Plus, or not. You will know that it is not a Shiny.
What do you think of this change? Will you use the GO Plus less now?
