In Pokémon GO the big Community Day is waiting for you again on December 16 and 17, 2023. You can find out which Pokémon you shouldn’t miss here.
What’s happening at the Community Day in December? The Community Day in December will once again focus on all Pokémon from the Community Days of the current year and the last year, just like the previous year.
Here, you will encounter Pokémon in the wild, those waiting for you as rewards for field research, those hatching from eggs, as well as Pokémon that you can find in raids.
Will exclusive CD attacks be learnable again during Community Day? During this Community Day, you also have the option to receive exclusive Community Day attacks for your Pokémon through evolutions. We list here which Pokémon and attacks are particularly worth it for you.
To obtain the exclusive attacks, you must evolve the Pokémon during the Community Day. Only the final evolutionary stages of the Pokémon can learn the attacks. This listing addresses just these final evolutionary stages, even though you will only find the pre-evolutions during the Community Day.
These are the best Pokémon of the Community Days in December
Togekiss
Togekiss is one of the best fairy attackers in the game and should definitely be in your team if you don’t already have it. It wouldn’t hurt to have more than one copy of it in your team. During the Community Day, you can catch the pre-evolution Togetic.
Attack: Aura Sphere, fighting-type charge attack
Where to find Togetic? In the wild, in field research
Maxax
Maxax is a top attacker of the dragon type. With its Community Day attack, “Slam,” you can enjoy the best charge attack available for playing with Maxax.
Attack: Slam, dragon-type charge attack
Where to find Milza? In the wild, in field research
Meistagrif
Need good fighting attackers for your team? Then you will enjoy Meistagrif. It is one of the best fighting Pokémon in the game and deals a lot of damage.
Attack: Typhoon, dark-type charge attack
Where to find Praktibalk? In the wild, in field research
Despotar
Despotar is one of the strongest Pokémon in general. It is a strong dark attacker and can also be played as a solid rock attacker with the fast attack Catapult, which it can learn on Community Day.
Attack: Catapult, fast attack
Where to find Larvitar? In the last 10 minutes of every full hour in the wild
Mamutel
Mamutel is an excellent attacker in Pokémon GO. It can perform well as both an ice attacker and a ground attacker. If you still have a need in these areas, you can take advantage of the opportunity at Community Day.
Attack: Ancient Power, rock-type charge attack
Where to find Quiekel? In the last 10 minutes of every full hour in the wild
Skelabra
Skelabra is a Pokémon that can cover two types at once. It is strong as both a ghost attacker and a fire attacker. Although it doesn’t tank much, it deals considerable damage.
Attack: Poltergeist, ghost-type charge attack
Where to find Lichtel? In 1*-raids and in 2 km eggs
Trikephalo
Of course, Trikephalo should not be missing from this listing. Trikephalo is one of the absolute top dark attackers. With the attack “Typhoon,” which it can learn on Community Days, it continues to dominate the top ranks of dark attackers.
Attack: Typhoon, dark-type charge attack
Where to find Kapuno? In 1*-raids and in 2 km eggs

Good Pokémon for the upcoming Community Days
Morlord / Suelord
Morlord and Suelord may not play a big role in raids, but both are a good choice in battles against other players. They can strengthen your team well in this area and are therefore worth having in your team if you regularly fight against other players.
Attack: Morlord learns Aqua Tail, water-type charge attack, and Suelord learns Multi Attack, bug-type charge attack
Where to find Felino? In the wild, in field research
Quajutsu
Quajutsu won’t be of great advantage to you in raids. However, this Pokémon also plays a significant role in the battle league and can help you win one or two more fights. You should definitely bring the charge attack that you can obtain on Community Day.
Attack: Hydro Cannon, water-type charge attack
Where to find Froxy? In the wild, in field research
Barrikadax
Barrikadax feels especially comfortable in fights against other players. It has a strong attack with which you can pose a serious threat to many of the competitive trainer’s Pokémon. It is highly recommended for your battle league teams in the super cup.
Attack: Guard, dark-type charge attack
Where to find Galar Zigzachs? 1*-raids, 2 km eggs
Walraisa
With a strong Walraisa by your side, you have a solid Pokémon in the hyper league. However, both its fast attack and the charge attack that it can learn during Community Day are prerequisites for this.
Attack: Powder Snow, ice-type fast attack and Ice Spear, ice-type charge attack
Where to find Seemops? In 1*-raids and in 2 km eggs
Brockoloss
Brockoloss is still a good choice if you’re looking for Pokémon for your team and are short on rock attackers. With its Community Day attack Meteor Beam, it is still in the top 20 of rock attackers today.
Attack: Meteor Beam, rock-type charge attack
Where to find Kiesling? In 1*-raids and in 2 km eggs
Glurak
Glurak is not only one of the most iconic Pokémon to this day, but also a strong fire-type attacker. In its normal form, you can look forward to a good Pokémon for your hyper league team. With its mega evolutions, you can either play it as a top-tier fire attacker or as a solid dragon attacker.
Attack: Fire Breath, dragon-type fast attack and Flamethrower, fire-type charge attack
Where to find Glumanda? In the last 10 minutes of every full hour in the wild
Turtok
Turtok continues to dominate the list of water attackers in its mega evolution. It should definitely know the charge attack Hydro Cannon, which it can learn on Community Day.
Attack: Hydro Cannon, water-type charge attack
Where to find Schiggy? In the last 10 minutes of every full hour in the wild
Other Pokémon that are more for collectors
- Quappo can be a strong companion for you in the hyper league and be useful if it knows the Community Day attack Counter.
- Quaxo, on the other hand, can score less but isn’t completely disregarded in the hyper league.
- (Galar-)Lahmus and (Galar-)Laschoking play no major role in raids or in the battle league. Not even with the Community Day attack Surfer.
- Brigaron can find a place in your super league and hyper league teams with the attack Flora Statute, but it is not one of the top Pokémon.
- Fennexis learns Flamethrower on Community Day, but it is more meant for collectors than for your raid and battle league teams.
- UHaFnir is also a Pokémon that you might still be missing and only plays a minor role as a fighter.
- Donarion and its pre-evolution Akkup can learn Volt Switch during Community Day, but they play no major role in raids or in the battle league.
- Ampharos is a good electric attacker in its mega evolution, but unfortunately only in that form. It cannot benefit from its Community Day attack Dragon Pulse.
- Sandamer is neither a great help in raids nor in the battle league.
- Alola-Sandamer is a, albeit not the best, option for the super league and hyper league with its Community Day attack Dark Claw.
- Alola-Geowaz is outclassed by other Pokémon in both the battle league and raids, playing not the biggest role in either area. Not even with the Community Day attack Waltz.
- Papungha is a Pokémon that is more meant for the Pokédex than for other areas.
- Ursaring can be evolved during the Community Day, but it also plays no major role in other areas.
- Staraptor is usable in the hyper league but does not benefit from its Community Day attack Windstorm.
- Kosturso should rather be kept in the Pokédex than in your teams for raids and the battle league.
