In Pokémon GO the Water Festival is approaching, and accordingly, 8 quests have been found that you can solve there.
What is the Water Festival? This event centered around Water Pokémon starts this Friday, on August 23rd at 10 PM. It will end on August 30th.
During the event, there are 2 new Shinies, new raid bosses, and special field research tasks. These have now been found by data miner Chrales.
The possible quests for the Water Festival
What did the data miner find? A total of 8 tasks related to Water Pokémon and other areas have been found. They are not officially confirmed, so one should approach this with caution:
- Earn a candy by walking with your buddy
- Catch X Water Pokémon (easy)
- Catch X Water Pokémon (hard)
- Evolve X Carvanha or Barboach
- Hatch X Eggs
- Win X Raids
- Defeat a Team GO Rocket Grunt
- Take X photos of Water Pokémon
What are special quests? A field research task has been found for the first time that is related to Team Rocket. It remains to be seen whether the reward for a battle is worth it or if you can dispose of the quest without concern.
Additionally, the task with the photo is interesting. Such challenges were otherwise mostly in special research and not in regular quests.
Is anything known about the rewards? Nothing is known about this yet. You will probably have to wait until the event starts. However, as usual, we at MeinMMO will inform you about the rewards.
What else does the Water Festival offer? The list of rewards is long. For the first time, there will be Shiny Barboach and Carvanha. Additionally, special raid bosses will be found in the gyms.
A highlight will also be the raid hour with Mesprit, which takes place next Wednesday.
