Friend search function
This has been requested for a long time, and finally Niantic has implemented it: You can now search for friends in the list! If you want to specifically search for a friend, you can now comfortably enter the name in a search bar.
Annoying scrolling: Until now, you always had to scroll through the entire list until you found the friend. This has now been taken away from the players.

Faster scrolling through the friends list
Another change has been made to the friends list. You can now scroll through the friends list much faster and smoother.
The game crashed: Those who have many friends in the list know the problem with such a long list. Scrolling through your friends would eventually cause the game to crash, and you had to restart it. Those times are now a thing of the past.

Adventure Sync distance at login
Another new feature is the display of the distance that Adventure Sync has covered since the last login.
Play without holding your phone: With Adventure Sync, you can collect kilometers in the game and hatch eggs without having the app open. The new display now shows you the distance traveled since you last opened Pokémon GO.
