In Pokémon GO there are numerous new regional Pokémon. However, at the release, there was Jiutesto, which disappeared a few minutes later.
These are the new Pokémon: A new wave of Pokémon came into the game on Friday evening, all of which are from the Unova region. Among them were also 5 regional Pokémon, of which only 2 can be caught in Germany.
However, at the release, there was an error that allowed another regional Pokémon, Jiutesto, to also be available in Europe.
Jiutesto for a few minutes in Germany
Players report: When new shadows suddenly appeared nearby at 10 PM German time, there was certainly a Jiutesto among them. After a while, players asked which of the monsters was actually regional. After all, Jiutesto was announced for America and Africa, yet numerous players from Europe found it as well.
Around the other way, Americans also reported that they were able to catch Karadonis, even though that is a regional Pokémon for Australia, Europe, and Asia.
What’s behind it: After a few minutes, it became clear that this was a mistake. Niantic had mistakenly swapped the spawns of the two Pokémon and allowed them to appear in each other’s regions.
After only a few minutes, the error was fixed. So anyone who played directly at the release might have been lucky enough to catch a Jiutesto here in Germany.
A similar problem occurred with Schalellos at that time. The Pokémon appeared globally in both forms for a few minutes at the release. Thus, one could catch the red Schalellos here as well. After a few minutes, the error was fixed.
What does this mean for the players? If you now have a Jiutesto in your PokéDex, you can consider yourself lucky. After all, you now have to travel to other regions of the world for it.
