Karadonis, Schallquap and Toxiped are just a part of the new Pokémon available to catch in Pokémon GO. We give you an overview of which monsters are part of the new wave and where you can catch the 17 new Pokémon from Gen 5.
This is the new wave: Already announced by the end of 2019 and now implemented – Pokémon GO has received 17 new Pokémon and their evolutions.
Many of these monsters are incredibly strong or can be obtained in special ways.
All 17 new Pokémon at a glance
These monsters are found in the wild: A large portion of the new Pokémon can be found in the wild. This includes:
- Kiesling
- Schallquap
- Lithomith
- Unratütox
- Laukaps
- Wattzapf
- Schnuthelm
- Toxiped
- Galapaflos
- Flapteryx
- Milza
- Jiutesto (regional)
- Karadonis (regional, but available in Germany)
- Maracamba (regional)
- Symvolara (regional)
- Barschuft (regional with red and blue stripes)
Currently, it is unclear whether Praktibalk can also be found in the wild. So far, it has only been found in raids and eggs.
5 new regional Pokémon are now in the game. Only one of them can be found in Germany. The rest are only available in other corners of the world. A detailed overview of the catch locations will be published soon on MeinMMO.
These monsters are found in raids: The only new raid boss added is Praktibalk. You can find it in 1-star raids. All other Pokémon are not yet available in raids.
These monsters are found in eggs: The egg pools have seen a significant increase. Almost all new monsters can be found in eggs. So far, the following have been confirmed:
- 2-km-eggs:
- Lithomith
- Toxiped
- 5-km-eggs:
- Kiesling
- Schallquap
- Unratütox
- Laukaps
- Wattzapf
- Schnuthelm
- 10-km-eggs:
- Praktibalk
- Galapaflos
- Flapteryx
- Milza
The regional Pokémon have not yet been found in their respective regions in the eggs. It may still take a few days before we receive confirmation on that.
Are there new Shinys? So far, there have been no confirmed Shiny sightings. It seems that after Yorkleff, Nagelotz, and Klikk, there are no further Shinys from the 5th generation at this time.
Which of the new Pokémon are worthwhile? There are indeed some new Pokémon that can be incredibly useful. The evolutions of Praktibalk and Milza are likely to be the best.
