Still, there is no trace of Pokémon GO Kecleon to be found. However, a new find by a data miner suggests that this could change soon.
This Pokémon is about: With the chameleon monster Kecleon, it’s an endless story. It is the last monster from the Hoenn region that still has not appeared in Pokémon GO – and the first monsters of the 3rd generation were introduced back in 2017.
However, Kecleon is still not to be found in Pokémon GO. While this fits its ability from the main games to camouflage and be almost invisible – trainers still wish to finally complete their Hoenn Pokédex. But Niantic is taking its time with the release and stated last year that they want to come up with something special for the Kecleon release.
Recently, the Hoenn tour for Pokémon GO was announced, which the community sees as a good possible release time for Kecleon. Additionally, the “PokeMiners” data miners have now found new clues that seem to point to Kecleon.
Data miners find new clues about camouflage Pokémon
This is what data miners have found: In a new update, the “Pokeminers” not only show hints of a potential new winter map in Pokémon GO, but also various designations revolving around a “Camo Pokémon” – hence a “camouflage Pokémon” (via pokeminers.com).
Moreover, a new encounter is said to have been added where the Pokémon becomes invisible. This is called “Transparent Encounter” and is supposed to involve the relevant Pokémon being visible first, then disappearing and only becoming visible when it attacks.
This would fit Kecleon’s special camouflage abilities, the Pokeminers emphasize – and just as preparation for the Hoenn tour in February 2023 could also be the timing.
However, whether it is actually about Kecleon – and whether it will land in the game soon – remains to be seen.
After all, data mining involves leaks, not official information. Whether and when the data will be used in this form is open. At the same time, leaks from the Pokeminers have often provided a fairly reliable outlook on what could be coming to Pokémon GO in the future.
