Trainers in Pokémon GO have chosen their Poklémo for the Community Day in August. In the end, the choice was clear.
What kind of choice is this? Pokémon GO presented four Pokémon for the Community Day in August. Players were able to cast their vote on YouTube. The options were:
- Quabbel
- Reißlaus
- Meikro
- Ferkuli
This is the winner: Meikro won the vote – and quite convincingly. A total of 77% of the votes were cast for the little bird (via youtube.com). 12% went to Reißlaus, Quabbel received 6%, and Ferkuli 5%.
A clear result, which was almost to be expected. After all: With Meikro, the fans chose a really strong Community Day.
What makes the Community Day with Meikro so strong?
The first argument is likely the topic of “Shiny”. Because Meikro’s shiny variant has not yet been obtainable in the game. As there is always an increased chance for the shiny version of the event Pokémon on Community Day, it is to be expected that shiny Meikro will be available at the August event. And it should also be quite easy to obtain.
The second argument is Krarmor – the final evolution of Meikro. The Steel-Flying Pokémon is already one of the best Pokémon to play in PvP. Now, a special move for Krarmor has also been announced: Wind Cutter will be its new charge attack. This is likely to be interesting for the league as well.
And the third argument: Krarmor also has a Gigantamax form. Although it is not yet in the game, it will surely arrive in Pokémon GO sooner or later. For this monster, you will need a lot of candies to upgrade it eventually. The Community Day will provide a good foundation for that.
Last but not least, Meikro is also the “freshest” of the four Pokémon, as it has only been catchable since the beginning of this year. Although the other Pokémon (except Ferkuli) also have strong arguments regarding their usefulness in PvP – the choice of Meikro is not really surprising.
When is the Community Day taking place? That’s still a ways off. The August Community Day with Meikro will take place on August 30, 2025. You should mark this date down if you plan to catch many Meikro specimens. And what’s happening before that? We will show you here: All events in Pokémon GO in June 2025.
