What is this feature? After the Dynamax feature has already made its way into the game this season, Gigadynamax has now also been announced for Pokémon GO. The feature will be introduced as part of the “GOgantischer” event.
However, the announcement of the new feature has not exactly caused leaps of joy in the community, as it requires a lot to participate successfully. Therefore, we want to know from you: Will you participate?

Big Pokémon, big requirements
What are the requirements? To successfully participate in the battles, you will need between 10 and 40 trainers. All of these must also participate locally in the battle and cannot fight from a distance, as is possible in many raids using remote raid passes.
The strength of the Gigadynamax monsters will likely be significantly higher than that of the previous 3*-Dynamax battles like Legios, which have already posed a challenge to some trainers. Therefore, it will be necessary to level up your Dynamax Pokémon properly and to unlock and strengthen Dynamax attacks.
Can my Dynamax monsters also trigger Gigadynamax? No, this is unfortunately not possible. If you have already caught a Dynamax Charizard, you cannot trigger the Gigadynamax form for that monster.
Only Pokémon you receive in Gigadynamax battles can take on this form.
How can I find Gigadynamax battles? When you open the game, you will already see power sources with Dynamax and Gigadynamax battles around you. You can also click on the display with the Pokémon at the bottom right and switch to the “Power Source” tab. This will also show you power sources that are a bit further away.
Additionally, recently you can also use the Campfire app to see where you can find power sources.
