In Pokémon GO you can now get Zwieps. Its evolution Famieps comes with a special feature.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Zwieps is a Normal-type Pokémon that debuted in the 9th generation – that is, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
In Pokémon GO, it has been available since the start of Hyperbonus 2024, Part 1. The motto is “Together we are strong.” This fits perfectly with Zwieps, as it is a mouse Pokémon that always consists of two specimens.
However, its evolution is particularly interesting.
The special evolution of Zwieps – Famieps in threes or fours
What about the evolution? Zwieps can evolve into Famieps. In Pokémon GO, you need 50 candies to carry out the evolution.
Famieps then consists of four mice, two large and two small. This mouse family expresses cohesion with the move “Mouse Plague”, which can hit up to ten times in the main games.
But there is a special, secret form: it then consists of only three little mice.
In Scarlet & Violet, there was only a 1% chance that your Zwieps would evolve into the three-mouse family Famieps. On the other hand, there is a 99% chance of getting the four-mouse family.
How do I get the three-mouse family Famieps in Pokémon GO? In Pokémon GO, it is currently left to chance which variant you get. How high the chance is, is still unknown – but it is assumed that the three-mouse family is quite rare.
However, trainers have already shown on social media that the three-mouse family does exist in Pokémon GO. For instance, here on x.com:
So there’s only one thing left to do: Collect as many Famieps as possible and evolve them as much as you can.
But if it doesn’t work out: From a gameplay perspective, you’re not missing anything, the three-mouse family is not stronger than the four-mouse family. It’s just a visual change.
