In Pokémon GO, the Groundbreaking Buddleia
event is coming up. There will be a debut that you shouldn’t miss.
When is the event? The event starts on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM. It runs until Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
At the event, you can expect not only a brand new Dynamax monster but also a bonus that should excite trainers from level 31, as well as additional content that we have summarized for you here.

What kind of Pokémon debut is this? Rotomurf, the Ground-type Pokémon from Generation 5, will have its debut as a Dynamax monster in this event. It can evolve into Stalobor. You shouldn’t miss this Pokémon.
In the Wild Area event in November, Riffex will debut in Dynamax and Gigantamax battles. Since this Pokémon has the types Poison and Electric, it has a double weakness against Ground-type attacks. If you plan to challenge Riffex soon, make sure to bring Stalobor as a Dynamax monster if you want to deal maximum damage.
What bonus is there at the event? If you have already reached Trainer level 31 or higher, you can look forward to double the chance of receiving XL candies when catching Pokémon. Additionally, you can obtain encounters with Rotomurf and candies for the Pokémon by completing field research.
Although it was initially announced that you could also receive XL candies for Rotomurf through field research, this bonus has since been removed.

- Digda*
- Alola-Digda*
- Rihorn*
- Phanpy*
- Flurmel*
- Zirpurze*
- Fleknoil*
- Rotomurf*

- Stalobor* (rare)
All Pokémon marked with * can also be found as Shiny. Interestingly, Stalobor can also be encountered in its Shiny form. This is unusual because you usually can only find the base form of a monster as Shiny and not its evolution.
Timed Research: At the event, you will also receive a timed research that you can complete within the event. Here you can obtain additional encounters with Rotomurf as well as candies for the monster.
