I’m more of a player who doesn’t care about the avatar as long as it looks somewhat decent – and my bar is really low. But what is being delivered here is utterly crap

on MeinMMOSorry, but what was Niantic thinking? There are so many great programs for avatar design. Not just one criterion is bad, no, all of them are
, says user37124DTM
on MeinMMOI spent 1-2 minutes experimenting with it and have to say, if anyone wants to create an even uglier avatar with this, they must have every reason to be completely satisfied with the update

It remains to be seen whether Niantic will take the feedback from the trainers to heart and make changes to the new avatar system. So far, it seems to cause good mood for very few.
The update was received so poorly in parts of the community that compensations for clothing items were demanded.
