Many players are dissatisfied with the compensation event in Pokémon GO. For them, the Safari Zone event in Dortmund has become a waste of time.
What happened? Niantic launched an event in Dortmund – The Safari Zone. During the event time on a weekend in Dortmund, the Pokémon Corasonn appeared, which is not normally catchable in Germany. This is a regional Pokémon that typically spawns only near the equator.
Due to this rare Pokémon, many trainers traveled several hundred kilometers to Dortmund. However, during the event, problems occurred. For several hours on the first day, almost nothing happened within the Safari Zone. As an apology, Niantic then launched a Europe-wide event featuring a special Pokémon. The Pokémon Corasonn, for which trainers had traveled for hours on the highway, now spawned for 48 hours outside of the Safari Zone as well.
Trainers annoyed – See event in Dortmund as a waste of time
Ironically, the event: The Europe event is viewed negatively by some trainers. Many invested money in hotels and travel to Dortmund to secure the special Corasonn. Now, thanks to the EU event, they can catch the Pokémon without any effort – So there was no need to make the trip to Dortmund for the Safari Zone.
In social media platforms like Facebook and our comment section, we repeatedly read about disappointed trainers who are absolutely dissatisfied with the Europe-wide spawning of Corasonn. For them, it is not an apology but “a slap in the face,” as all trainers can now catch the monster effortlessly.
Of course, there are still many other advantages to regional monsters at a Safari event. The photos from the weekend showed a great atmosphere. Everyone was full of players sharing the same passion. Such a gathering is truly something special. Nevertheless, it is understandable that trainers are dissatisfied with the apology and see the trip to the Safari Zone as a waste of time.
Players wish for problems at the GO Fest
Galgenhumor? With this apology event in mind, trainers now wish for problems at the GO Fest. This is the second summer event in Pokémon GO and takes place in Chicago. If it encounters similar problems as the Safari Zone in Dortmund, many hope for an apology event for various regions. This way, trainers wouldn’t need to buy tickets for the event and travel, saving them time. As early as 2017, the GO Fest turned into a legendary mess.
