The Mini Jungle Cup is currently taking place in Pokémon GO‘s PvP league. We at MeinMMO have looked into what this cup is and show you which monsters you should best use.
How long does this cup run? The Mini Jungle Cup started on September 27, 2021, at 10:00 PM and lasts a total of two weeks. It will end on October 11, 2021, at 10:00 PM.
What is the Mini Jungle Cup? Trainers in Pokémon GO can regularly compete against each other in the PvP league. Normally, these battles take place in the Great, Ultra, or Master League.
Alongside the currently ongoing Master League, players can also participate in a very special cup: the Mini Jungle Cup. Unlike the Master League, this one mainly focuses on the small monsters of the game. This means that a certain CP limit may not be exceeded.
For the win, you receive triple Stardust, except when completing a set of battles.
These are the best attackers in the Mini Jungle Cup
What you should keep in mind: In the Mini Jungle Cup, you are only allowed to use certain Pokémon, so you should think ahead about which monsters you include in your team. Especially the respective strengths and weaknesses should be taken into consideration.
Here are the things you must consider when choosing your monsters:
- The monsters must have a maximum CP of 500
- It doesn’t matter whether they can evolve or not
- The following types are allowed:
- Normal
- Grass
- Electric
- Poison
- Ground
- Flying
- Bug
- Dark
- You may not use:
- Pottrott
- Farbeagle
You can use three Pokémon per battle. Ideally, you have leveled them up to the maximum of 500 CP. Since this cup is a very special battle league, you cannot orient yourself to the usual tier list for the different leagues.

Which Pokémon are particularly worthwhile in the Mini Jungle Cup?
As already seen in the Element Cup in June 2021, Waumboll and Piccolente are again among the best attackers in the Mini Jungle Cup.
With Waumboll, this is mainly due to its combination of Grass and Fairy attacks. Trainers in the PvP league have had difficulties with Fairy attacks in the past. Additionally, Waumboll has strong defense and endurance.
In contrast, Piccolente impresses with its fast charging attack Bubble Beam. This can quickly lure a shield or two from your opponent. Its Flying attacks are also very effective against Grass-type Pokémon. To defeat Piccolente, you should rely on Galar-Flunschlik.
Besides Piccolente, Altaria also presents itself as a strong attacker against Grass Pokémon. This monster is also of the Flying type and can impress with its charging attacks. However, this monster is particularly strong in defense.
Another interesting attacker is Knuddeluff. The Fairy and Normal-type Pokémon has only average defense, but it can particularly impress with its stamina. Since it has various Fairy attacks, it may also pose a challenge for some trainers. You can best defeat it with Poison attacks.
