- The event starts today, on July 6, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time and ends on July 15, 2021, at 8:00 PM local time.
- You thus have over a week to take advantage of all event-related bonuses.
- The anniversary celebration spans the period during which Pokémon GO was released 5 years ago in most parts of the world.

Pokémon GO Anniversary Celebration – Pokémon and Bonuses
These bonuses are available: As Niantic has now announced, you can look forward to the following bonuses for the anniversary celebration (via pokemongolive.com):
- all lure modules (including Glacier, Rain, Magnet, and Moss modules) last for one hour during the event
- there are special stickers from gifts and when spinning PokéStops
- you can increase your inventory space to up to 3,500 starting from July 5, 2021, at 10 PM
- additionally, the Special, Ultra, and Adventure Boxes in the in-game shop, also starting from July 5, 2021, at 10 PM, will contain various items
Which Pokémon are waiting for you?
Also, special Pokémon have been announced for this event by Niantic. You can encounter Flampion and the flying Pikachu with a balloon shaped like a 5 more frequently in the wild. Flampion is also available in its shiny variant in the game.
Furthermore, you can also encounter the flying Pikachu as well as Flampion, Igamaro, Fynx, and Froxy in Level 1 raids. Additionally, upon completing field research tasks or using lure modules, the following starter Pokémon will predominantly appear:

New Collector Challenge and Research Tasks for the Anniversary Celebration
In addition to the bonuses and Pokémon, you can also look forward to special field research tasks. Niantic has announced that trainers will receive special quests in field research daily. Additionally, a Collector Challenge will again be available to all players. As a reward, you will also encounter the flying Pikachu and receive Pokéballs and special candies.
Moreover, with the help of the Special Research “Research to Take Off”, trainers who missed this special task last year will have the chance to catch up now. This special research includes, in addition to Pokémon encounters, a lot of stardust and XP rewards.
