June in Pokémon GO has begun. What’s on the agenda this week? We take a look at the most exciting dates.
What’s happening in Pokémon GO? The new season in Pokémon GO has started! Under the motto “Heavenly Teamwork”, you can now go searching for various monsters until September.
But what is currently urgent in Pokémon GO? Which monsters can be caught, which events are upcoming?
We shine a light on that in this article. Here you will find the overview of the most exciting dates this week, from June 3 to June 9.
Stadium Sights – Until June 4
What kind of event is this? Stadium Sights started on June 1 and runs until Tuesday, June 4, at 08:00 AM.
The highlights: Emolga has made its shiny debut. You can find it in the wild and in 7 km eggs. But if you want the shiny monster, you need a lot of luck.
Additionally, there is currently a hatching bonus that gives you one and a half times the Stardust and candies when a monster hatches.
Spotlight Hour on June 4
When is the Spotlight Hour? On Tuesday evening, at 06:00 PM, you will encounter many wild Makuhita for one hour. The bonus gives you double catch candies.
The T5 Raid Boss this week – Raid Hour on June 5
What’s going on? In the level 5 raids, you will encounter the legendary electric bird Zapdos, even until June 10. This monster is a real classic. You can find strong counters against Zapdos here.
On Wednesday evening, June 5, it will also appear for one hour at almost all gyms in the game. The raid hour with Zapdos runs from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM.
By the way: Alongside Zapdos, Mega-Gyarados can also be found in the Mega Raids, aside from the raid hour on Wednesday evening.
Slumbering Sand – from June 7

What kind of event is this? Slumbering Sand begins on June 7 at 10:00 AM and lasts until next week, on Wednesday, June 12. This event focuses on more relaxed Pokémon.
What are the highlights? Bummelz, Muntier, and Letarking will appear in costumed variants. They can even be encountered as shiny if you are lucky.
The most exciting Pokémon is likely to be Koalelu, which some trainers may still be missing in their collection. It will also appear as shiny, for the first time. However, as usual, the chance is low.
If you have a GO Plus+, you can link it with Pokémon GO. You will then receive a limited-time research task in the game related to the event.
What’s happening in PvP?
What’s happening in the league: You can still play the Super League until June 7, along with the Hyper Premier Cup. From June 7, the Hyper League and the Summer Cup in the Super League will run.
Crypto Raids with Raikou on June 8 and 9
The weekend will once again be dominated by the powerful Crypto-Raikou. You can challenge the legendary monster in the Rocket Raids – but only on-site. And you should bring some trainers because this monster is hard to defeat. Here you can find the best Raikou counters.
Community Day on May 9 brings Viscora
This should be the highlight of the week: Viscora is getting its own Community Day. This gives you a very good chance to obtain its shiny variant as well as its evolutions Viscargot and Viscogon. There will also be double catch candies, triple catch Stardust, and other bonuses waiting for you. As a special move, Viscogon can learn “Thunderbolt” during the event when you evolve it. And if you want to know what else is coming up: Here all events in June 2024 for Pokémon GO.
