For Pokémon GO, the Community Day Classic was revealed in November 2022. The featured Pokémon is Dratini. Trainers show reasons why this event should not be missed.
What was announced? We knew for several weeks that two Community Days would run in November 2022. Niantic announced in August the dates for the C-Days in September, October, and November. One in November is a “Classic” version of these events. The difference from the “normal” versions is that a Pokémon is featured that has already had a Community Day.
The fact that Niantic chose Dratini not only contradicts trainers’ speculations but also brings great joy to players. They share on social networks why they are celebrating this date.
“I am really happy about this” – Players on the upcoming C-Day event in November
Event info: The C-Day Classic will run on November 5 and will bring many spawns of the Dragon-type Pokémon Dratini. Dragonite can learn the attack Draco Meteor, and as a bonus, players will receive triple Stardust for catching Pokémon. All content and bonuses of the Community Day Classic featuring Dratini.
What trainers are saying: The event has received a great response on Twitter and Reddit. Here on MeinMMO, people are also excited in the comments. One user, Walez, writes: “Very nice! Marked the third date in the calendar after Litwick CD and Apollo Spotlight. I have been chasing the Shiny for a long time. Let’s go!”
In general, many trainers are looking forward to finally having more chances for Shinies of the popular Dragon-type Pokémon and its evolution.

Aside from the Shinies, there are reasons why trainers definitely want to participate in this event.
On Reddit, user Merlion4ek writes: “Triple Stardust, XL Dratini candies for Shadow Dragonite. I’m in!”
Other trainers agree and mention that they will take advantage of the chances to power up their strong Dragonite to the max. “Me too. I need about 80 more XL candies to max out my 13/13/15 Shadow Dragonite,” says King-Mugs.
Even trainers who already have enough strong variants of this Dragon-type Pokémon are excited. Because the event offers a good opportunity to fill up their Stardust reserves and also to maximize the collector’s medal.
Trainer cpgxrcia summarizes: “I am really happy with it. Triple Stardust and easy XL candies.”
Which theory was disproved? In Pokémon GO, there were already two “classic” Community Days. One featuring Bulbasaur and one with Mudkip. Now trainers assumed that the third event in this series must feature a Fire-type starter Pokémon. After all, the Grass and Water elements were also filled by starter Pokémon.
With this selection, Niantic shows that they are not rigidly following this pattern.
