Thanksgiving 2017 – Start?
Last year, there was a special event for Thanksgiving in Pokémon GO. For this reason, trainers are also expecting a celebration in the game this year. But when will it start?
This year, Thanksgiving is celebrated in the USA on November 23. The Thanksgiving event 2016 started in Pokémon GO on November 23 and lasted a week. We expect that the event will also start around the same time this year (likely around November 23). However, there has not yet been any official confirmation from Niantic.
What bonuses do you wish for?
There is plenty of choice for possible rewards in Pokémon GO. Previous events have included:
- Double experience points for all actions in the game
- Double the amount of stardust for catching Pokémon or hatching eggs
- Special 2km eggs with unique Pokémon like Chansey, Larvitar, and so on
- Discount packages in the shop
- Increased chance of encountering a specific type of Pokémon
- Double candy
Last year, there were double experience points for Thanksgiving (quadruple with a lucky egg) and double the amount of stardust for completing in-game actions. Do you think we can expect the same this year?
