Is the wait for the desired features in Pokémon GO about to come to an end?
Pokémon GO has been available in Germany for several weeks now and is played by many trainers. According to players, there are still some features that could improve the game. This includes, for example, the trading feature, with which players can exchange their caught Pokémon with friends or other trainers. The appearance of the first legendary Pokémon in the game could perhaps be a highlight that might draw more trainers back to the game. A Reddit user has now found interesting information about the desired features through data mining.
These data look promising
During the so-called data mining , the various files of the game are analyzed closely. The different values found during this mining provide insight into features in the game. Often, new features come into a game with an update, but they are not “activated” immediately. For example, a trading feature could already be built into the game without being activated. The developers would just need to activate the feature without needing to roll out a patch when the trading feature is to be released.
A Reddit user Cokuspocus found interesting hints about incense, trading features, and legendary Pokémon while data mining Pokémon GO. The data on incense could suggest that there will be various types of incense available for purchase in the future, which can be used to attract certain Pokémon:
- Item_incense_spicy
- Item_incense_cool
- Item_incense_floral
Incense is the translation for smoke, and spicy, cool, and floral could stand for the Pokémon types fire, water, and grass.
Regarding the catching of legendary Pokémon, there is the following hint:
- activity_catch_pokemon – This is the value for catching Pokémon. Additionally, there is the following line in the code:
- activity_catch_legend_pokemon
So there seems to be a possibility in the future to catch legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO – whether at an event or in the wild.
The following values provide information about a possible trading feature:
- Trade_search
- Trade_offer
- Trade_response
- Trade_result
One can interpret these values as indicating that the trading feature is divided into about 4 phases. In the first phase, players are looking for others who want to trade. The second phase is the offer made to the other player. Phase three could involve the decision of whether the trading partner accepts the offer or not. In phase four, it concerns the result, where one might see which player received which Pokémon.
