A new event for the Pokémon World Championship in Pokémon GO is starting. You should take advantage of some bonuses within it.
When does the event take place in Pokémon GO? The bonuses related to the World Championship event start on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM. You can use them until August 20, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
The actual World Championship in Honolulu, where other Pokémon games besides Pokémon GO crown their champions, takes place from Friday to Sunday. You can thus use the bonuses a little longer.
Three bonuses are worth highlighting that you should take advantage of.
Which bonuses are worth it for the World Championship event?
1. Use codes for free research: During the World Championship, various livestreams for Pokémon GO will be running. You can follow them on Twitch and secure rewards by watching 30 minutes of different streams.
Over the weekend, there are three free researches that you can earn by watching the streams.

2. Teach Pokémon special moves: During the event, you can teach strong moves to various monsters that are interesting for PvP in Pokémon GO. You can find the entire list here:
When catching:
- Slurpuff learns Body Slam
- Lin-Fu learns Tower Kick
If you evolve the following Pokémon:
- Morlord: Water Tail
- Altaria: Lunar Force
- Akkup: Volt Switch
- Fiaro: Incinerate
Additionally, you can remove the move Frustration from your Shadow Pokémon.
3. Fight in the Battle Week: The Battle Week allows you to earn quadruple Stardust for your matches. This is a really good source for the important resource.
To farm effectively, 100 battles per day are possible. Additionally, a research task focusing on PvP will be unlocked.
