Pokémon GO rewards you in October with a Water attacker for the research breakthrough: Suicune.
Those who successfully complete research tasks in Pokémon GO will be rewarded with items or Pokémon encounters.
The research breakthrough brings Legendary Pokémon: Trainers can receive one stamp per day from field research. After collecting 7 stamps, there is a chance to encounter a very special Pokémon. In October, that is Suicune.
Suicune as a Field Research Breakthrough in Pokémon GO
When will Suicune be available? Starting in October, Suicune will be available as a reward for your field research breakthroughs. As always, you should wait until at least 10:01 PM on October 1st to claim the breakthrough. Until about 10:00 PM, you will receive Entei as a research breakthrough.
Are there new research tasks? In keeping with the water theme of Suicune, there will be new field research tasks starting in October that revolve around water. We will then publish a list here on Mein-MMO.de, where you can find the new quests and raid bosses. Because new bosses will presumably be found in the gyms again.

Why should you catch Suicune? If you have missed catching Suicune during its presence in raids, you can easily make up for it now. Although Suicune is not one of the strongest attackers, it is still sought after solely because trainers want to complete their PokéDex.
Trainers already expected this appearance: After Entei and Raikou had already been field research rewards in the game, it was clear that Suicune would follow. This completes the trio of legendary beasts from Gen. 2.
How does the community react to Suicune?
The joy over Suicune could be greater in the community. There are wishes that Suicune should learn a special attack to make it more useful.
Trainer MannishBoyX writes on Reddit: “Suicune has the most elegant design of the legendary beasts, but it is also the weakest. At least give us a Water-type quick attack.”
Others are simply happy that they now have another chance to catch this rare monster.
Trainer RMGH writes: “Suicune was the first legendary I completely missed when I took my extended break. I’m happy to finally get the chance to catch it.”
