Use these Pokémon against Rayquaza: The legendary Pokémon is of the Flying and Dragon types, making it vulnerable to Rock, Dragon, Fairy, and Ice types. It even has a double weakness against Ice.
You should therefore use Ice Pokémon primarily. Here are the 5 best counters against Rayquaza:

How much CP does a Rayquaza in the raid need? If you catch Rayquaza after the raid and it has 2191 CP or 2739 CP with weather bonus, then you can look forward to a specimen with 100% IV.
Additionally, Rayquaza can also appear in its shiny form. The chance for that is about 1 in 19. Shiny Rayquaza is black and looks significantly different from the normal form.
How does the raid weekend exactly proceed? During the previous raid weekends, the chance of a level 5 raid at a gym was usually increased. This means you could complete significantly more raids than usual over the weekend.
