In Pokémon GO starts the “Día de Muertos” event for the Day of the Dead. This brings event bonuses, a collector challenge, wild Pokémon, the chance for shinies, and 2 gifts. We will show you all the contents.
For the very first time, Pokémon GO celebrates the Day of the Dead not just in Mexico and parts of America, but worldwide with the trainers. There are some bonuses that you should take advantage of on the two event days.

“Day of the Dead” event in Pokémon GO
When does it start? The event starts on Monday, November 1st, at 10:00 AM. It is active until Tuesday, November 2nd, at 10:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? Incense and lure modules last for 90 minutes instead of 30 minutes during the event. Additionally, you will receive double Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Collector challenge: In line with the event, there will be a collector challenge. You can find it in the Today overview. If you successfully complete it, you will encounter Ninjatom. You will also receive a Knursp and an incense item.
Get the gifts: In the Pokémon GO shop, you will find a free event box. It contains 20 Poké Balls and an incense item. You will also find a free t-shirt for your avatar themed “Día de Muertos” in the shop. In the following image, you can already take a look at the t-shirts:

What happens in PvP? Starting November 1st at 00:00, a battle day will run in Pokémon GO. It will be active until 23:59. As a bonus, the battle day gives you quadruple Stardust for victories.
