In Pokémon GO today, on April 7th, the raid hour with the legendary Pokémon Tornadus in its Incarnate Form is taking place. We will show you the best counters and explain who should participate in this event.
What kind of event is this? The raid hour takes place every Wednesday in Pokémon GO. The event starts at 6:00 PM local time and brings a legendary raid to nearly every gym for one hour. This is your chance to tackle many level 5 raids.
This week you will again encounter the Incarnate Form of Tornadus. We will show you here how to prepare and who should participate.
Best Counters and Info for the Raid Hour with Tornadus
When does it start? As always, the event begins at 6:00 PM local time and is active for one hour. You’re already familiar with this kind of event from the past or from spotlight hours that happen at the same time on Tuesdays.
By 7:00 PM, most raids should be completed. Then the bosses will return to the raids that were active during the Spring Event.
These are the best counters: Tornadus is weak against Electric, Ice, and Rock types. So you should focus on these three types. The best counters are:
| Attacker | Moves |
| Thundurus (Incarnate) | Volt Switch and Thunderbolt |
| Zekrom | Charge Beam and Thunder Shock |
| Raikou | Thunder Shock and Thunder Shock |
| Rampardos | Smack Down and Rock Slide |
| Electivire | Thunder Shock and Thunder Shock |

How many trainers should participate? If you bring your best counters and a high trainer level, you can defeat Tornadus in its Incarnate Form with just three players. However, it is advisable to form a larger group of at least 5 trainers during the raid hour to complete the raids more quickly. This will give you the opportunity to engage in even more battles within the hour.
With remote raids, you can easily adhere to the contact restrictions currently in place due to the corona pandemic.
Is the raid hour with Tornadus worth it?
How strong is Tornadus? Tornadus in its Incarnate Form is a Flying type, making it rather uninteresting for raids and battles. It is only somewhat relevant in the Master League. However, there are much stronger alternatives, which is why Tornadus isn’t necessarily needed there.
Is there a Shiny Tornadus in its Incarnate Form? No, unfortunately not. So Shiny hunters have no reason to participate in the raid hour today.
Thus, the raid hour is especially worthwhile for players who want to complete their Pokémon collection and have not yet had the chance to catch a Tornadus.
Will you skip the raid hour this time, or will you collect one or another Tornadus? Let us know here on MeinMMO in the comments and share your thoughts.
