In Pokémon GO on April 16, the limited research “Egg Report: Spring Surprise” will run and bring Owei, Alolan Exeggutor, and additional bonuses.
What kind of event is this? In Pokémon GO, the big Spring Event has been running for a few days now. On Saturday, April 16, a mini-event will take place. It lasts for three hours and brings many Owei and Alolan Exeggutor for you.
We will show you all the bonuses and new research tasks of the mini-event.
Egg Event on April 16 – All Content
When does it start? The event starts at 11:00 AM. It lasts three hours and ends at 2:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? If you spin PokéStops during the event, you will receive research that rewards you with Owei encounters.
During the event, you can evolve Owei into Alolan Exeggutor, which will then know Draco Meteor as a move. Draco Meteor deals 150 damage in trainer battles and in gym and raid battles.
Additionally, you will receive double the amount of experience points for catching Pokémon and the event bonuses from the Spring Event are also active.
In the wild, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently during the three event hours: Bulbasaur, Oddish, Paras, Bellsprout, Tangela, Chikorita, Sunflora, Treecko, and Cacnea. You have the chance to encounter all of them as Shiny as well.
These are the research tasks: Trainers have already confirmed many field research tasks that belong to the event. All of the research tasks reward you with Owei encounters. Keep in mind that you have to obtain the field research during the event to receive the new rewards.
- Catch 3 Grass-type Pokémon
- Catch 3 Pokémon with weather boost
- Catch 5 Pokémon with weather boost
- Use 3 berries while catching Pokémon
- Evolve 2 Grass-type Pokémon
- Send 2 gifts with stickers
- Spin 2 PokéStops
- Take a snapshot of a wild Grass-type Pokémon
- Land 5 great throws
- Land 3 great throws in a row
- Land 3 excellent throws
- Land 2 excellent throws in a row
- Land 5 curveball throws
- Battle in a gym
- Battle in a raid
- Use a very effective charged move
In all these research tasks, you have the chance to encounter Shiny Owei. Keep in mind that you must evolve Owei during the event for Alolan Exeggutor to learn the powerful move Draco Meteor.
