In Pokémon GO starts this morning, March 27th, the big Psychic Spectacle. It features new shinies, more Pokémon from Gen 5, and many bonuses. Here’s an overview.

When does the event run? The bonuses are active all weekend. From Friday, March 27th at 8:00 AM local time, until Monday, March 30th at 10:00 PM, the event runs.
During this time, you can catch mainly Psychic Pokémon. There are also new Pokémon for the PokéDex and for the first time Shiny Puppance.
All Bonuses for the Psychic Spectacle 2020
Look forward to these features: The list of bonuses is long and revolves exclusively around the Psychic type:
- Monozyto and Mollimorba appear for the first time in Pokémon GO and will also hatch from 5 km eggs later
- In 2 km eggs, you will find the following Psychic Pokémon: Abra, Traumato, Trasla, Spoink, Puppance, Isso, Tanhel, Mollimorba, and Monozyto
- Shiny Puppance comes to the game for the first time
- Psychic Pokémon appear more frequently in raids and in the wild
- Special field research revolves around Psychic Pokémon
What you need to know about the new Pokémon: Monozyto and Mollimorba both have 2 evolutions. So you should collect quite a few candies.
During the event, you can find Monozyto during the day and then Mollimorba will appear at night.
Which Psychic Pokémon could appear? There are already quite a few Psychic Pokémon that can be caught as shinies. Highlights are likely to be Traumato, Natu, Spoink, Lunastein, and Bronzel. Those who do not have a shiny of them yet can definitely hope that they will be more available starting tomorrow.
What about the event due to the coronavirus? According to Niantic, the event will take place as scheduled. So there will probably be no restrictions on the raid bosses. Only the return of Lugia had already been canceled a few days ago.
Recently, they had removed quests that cannot be completed from home. The Psychic quests may be adjusted accordingly. This will be seen at the start of the event.
Keep in mind that there is currently a risk of getting infected with the coronavirus for yourself and others.
