The first special event in June 2023 for Pokémon GO is coming up. The research day focuses on field research and a limited-time research.
In our overview, we will show you how long the event lasts and which contents will be activated during this time.
Research Event on June 3 in Pokémon GO
When does it start? The “Gold Hunt” research day starts on Saturday, June 3, at 14:00 local time. The event is active for three hours and ends again at 17:00.
What bonuses are there? There are special features regarding the gold Pokémon Gierspenst:
- PokéStops can even become Golden PokéStops without a Gold Module
- You will only encounter Gierspenst in its roaming form at Golden PokéStops when you use a Gold Module. However, you will find Gierspenst Coins when you spin the Stops.
What’s happening? The event affects which Pokémon you encounter in the wild and which encounters you get from new field research with increased shiny chances. There will also be a paid research.
- The Pokémon of the day are Raupy, Karpador, Nasgnet, Zobiris, and Schmerbe. When you receive new field research by spinning PokéStops, you will encounter these Pokémon. All are also available in their shiny form. The special thing: The shiny chances for these 5 Pokémon are increased!
- In the wild, you will encounter Hornliu, Knofensa, Fiffyen, Bamelin, Schallquap, Schnuthelm, and Velursi more frequently. All are also available in their shiny form. With a bit of luck, you might encounter Schlurp (also possible as shiny) or Azumarill.
Limited-time research for €1: This research will only be active during the event, on June 3 from 14:00 to 17:00. You must complete the tasks during this time to receive the rewards. You can buy the ticket starting at 2:00 AM.
