What is happening in Pokémon GO? It is Wednesday again and a raid hour is taking place again. You know the format from the last few months. What you also know from the last few months is Heatran. The Pokémon is once again the “Star” of the raid hour today, January 13th. After its frequent appearances, we from MeinMMO are asking ourselves: Are you still participating?
The raid hour today with Heatran
What time does the raid hour start? The event starts at 6 PM local time for you. Heatran will then visit all gyms where no other raid is taking place at that time and will be present there as a raid boss. If other raids finish by 7 PM, Heatran will also appear there as a boss.
In January 2021, Pokémon GO is bringing many more events.
The best counters against Heatran: Your opponent is of the Steel and Fire type, making it vulnerable to Fighting and Water Pokémon. It has a double weakness against Ground attackers, so you should particularly rely on attackers of this type.
The best counters against Heatran are:
- Garchomp with Mud Shot and Earthquake
- Groudon with Mud Shot and Earthquake
- Excadrill with Mud-Slap and Drill Run
- Rhyperior with Mud-Slap and Earthquake
- Landorus with Mud Shot and Earth Power

Heatran has already had several raid hours in Pokémon GO and has been available as a raid boss in tier-5 raids through events repeatedly over the weeks.
