When does the new season start? The season “Joyful Days” starts today at 10:00 AM. It will last, as usual, for three months: until September 2, also at 10:00 AM.
Trailer for the new season: There is also a small trailer for the season. There are a few highlights to see already. These include the debut of the stronger forms of Zacian and Zamazenta: King of the Sword and King of the Shield.

What to expect in the new season Joyful Days in Pokémon GO
Bonuses in the season: During the season, the following effects are permanently active.
- You can do one more special trade per day
- The first catch of the day brings double XP
- The daily Adventure Incense has double duration – that is, 30 minutes
The GO Fest 2025: The largest Pokémon GO event of the year will take place in June 2025. It will happen on June 28 and 29, where the battle against the Crown forms of Zacian and Zamazenta will also take place. What to expect at the GO Fest 2025, you can read here.
New Pokémon: There will be a few new Pokémon throughout the new season, that’s clear. The following are already known:

Exciting Pokémon: You can also see the return of Gigantamax Lapras, a Community Day with Miniras, as well as Gimmighoul, which is apparently becoming more prominent.
Features of the new season: The GO Pass is active again, even in June. Once again, you can level up and earn rewards. There’s a free version as well as a paid version.
Additionally, the already mentioned RSVP feature for planning raids is active in the new season.
